Description
Naturum Fulufjället is a visitor center in Fulufjället National Park.
Our mission is to help visitors find their way into the national park based on their conditions. We ensure that everyone has a good and safe experience and follows the regulations in place to preserve natural values. Our exhibition tells the story of Fulufjället's nature and cultural history, and we have a temporary exhibition each year on various themes.
Job Responsibilities
As a temporary staff member at Naturum Fulufjället, you will work with information and nature guidance about Fulufjället National Park in particular and protected nature in general.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Staffing the reception at Naturum where you assist visitors in finding their way into the national park and inform them about regulations, animals, nature, and cultural history.
- Qualified nature and cultural guidance to the public in conversations and in writing.
- Nature guiding for children and adults in the exhibitions and in Fulufjället National Park.
- Welcoming school classes and other groups.
- Developing various activities in Naturum and outdoors, e.g., quiz walks, butterfly netting, etc.
- Sales and inventory management in Naturum's shop.
- Cleaning duties such as cleaning the exhibition and restrooms.
- Updating Naturum's social media and website.
- Simple administrative tasks such as statistical reporting, responding to emails, and booking groups.
- Solo work occurs with full responsibility for opening and closing Naturum.
- Supervision, cleaning, and possibly maintenance outdoors along nearby trails.
- Parking attendant responsible for ensuring visitors park according to instructions, as well as litter management and some maintenance.
Qualifications
Requirements
- You must be able to conduct nature guiding in Swedish and English.
- You should have a relevant scientific education or equivalent knowledge in biology, nature conservation, geology, or nature guidance.
- You should be able to work according to a schedule that includes weekends and evenings.
Meritorious
- Good knowledge of Fulufjället's nature, geology, and cultural historical values.
- Previous experience in visitor center operations, nature guidance, or other educational work.
- Knowledge of other languages besides Swedish and English.
- Previous experience in tourism or service professions.
- Knowledge of InDesign.
Personal Qualities

You should be good at conveying your knowledge of nature to both children and adults, individual visitors, and larger groups in an engaging and inspiring way. You are welcoming, proactive, flexible, and have good teamwork skills and a strong sense of service. We also believe you are cheerful and confident, and you can enrich our operations with your own ideas.

Conditions
The position is a special fixed-term employment with hourly pay from June 1 to December 31, 2026. Hours as needed with the possibility of scheduled shifts based on operational needs. Weekend work occurs.
